Justinas Januševskis, another former player of FK Panevėžys, has returned to the club. The centre-back, who played here for two seasons, has reached a one-year agreement.
Januševskis first came to the capital of Aukštaitija before the 2020 season, when he left Trakai, which later became Vilniaus Riteriai. With Panevėžys, the defender won the LFF Cup and the Super Cup.
After his two seasons in Panevėžys, Januševskis moved to FK Sūduva, spent a year there and then joined FK Banga Gargždai in the 2023-2024 season. With his last club he won the LFF Cup for the second time. At the beginning of last year, the player also briefly belonged to Flamurtari Vliore from Albania.
Justinas Januševskis shared his thoughts with fk-panevezys.lt website: “My return to Panevėžys was prompted by the club’s interest in me. During the years I was at other clubs, Panevėžys made a very big step forward. The club sets high goals every year and the desire to return to a European competition is what made me want to come back to the team”.
“I would like to thank Banga for the two seasons that I was able to contribute to the club’s historic journey and win the club’s first trophy. The goal is to help the Panevėžys team to achieve its goals”, added the former Lithuanian national team player. Panevėžys will start to prepare for the 2025 season on January 6.
