FC Hegelmann has announced that midfielder Domantas Antanavičius will remain with the team for one more season.
The 26-year-old Marijampole native joined Hegelmann before the 2024 season, coming from Kazakhstan, where he played for FC Atyrau for two seasons.
Domantas quickly became one of the standout players for the Kaunas district club, helping them secure their best-ever season—finishing in second place in the A Lyga and reaching the final of the Lithuanian Cup. In total, he played 39 games across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing one assist.
Antanavičius also made his debut for the Lithuanian National Team this year, coming off the bench during the Baltic Cup 2024 semifinal match against Latvia.
He began his career in Marijampole, winning two A Lyga titles with Sūduva. His journey has included stints in Estonia with Maardu LM and in Lithuania with FK Panevežys and Stumbras. He also won a league title in Slovenia with NK Celje.
FC Hegelmann will begin preparations for the new A Lyga season on January 6th.
