FCI Levadia Tallinn have announced on social media and on their club’s website, that they have signed former Viimsi JK striker Gregor Lehtmets.
The 20-year old striker helped Viimsi to the promotion finals against JK Tallinna Kalev with his 31 goals and 8 assists this past season.
Lehtmets is very happy and proud about moving to the reigning champions of Estonia, stating in a press release: “I am already excitedly waiting for these new challenges, eager to meet up with the new teammates and can’t wait to get on the field and make big things happen. I am ready to give my all, to help the team reach it’s targets and to give a lot of pleasure to the fans.“
The president of FCI Levadia, Viktor Levada, added: “FCI Levadia’s sporting department has been scouting and watching a lot of young players all over Estonia from the very beginning. Gregor Lehtmets has been on Levadia’s radar for a while now and after a successful season at Viimsi, we decided to get him into our squad now. I wish Gregor and the rest of the team the best of luck for the upcoming season! Welcome to the club!“
