Premium Liiga leaders Levadia produced another commanding performance at A. Le Coq Arena, comfortably beating Pärnu Vaprus 4-0 to continue their relentless push towards the league title.
Levadia entered the match as clear favourites and immediately showed why. Mihkel Ainsalu forced Ott Nõmm into an early save before the hosts opened the scoring in the sixth minute. Ainsalu released Joseph Saliste behind the defensive line and the left-back surprised Nõmm by shooting from a tight angle rather than crossing, beating the goalkeeper for his first league goal of the season.
The leaders remained firmly in control and Saliste almost scored again when his effort from inside the penalty area struck the post. Vaprus slowly began to establish some possession, but Levadia continued to create chances with little difficulty.
Their second goal arrived in the 19th minute. After a patient passing move, Saliste found Wendell, who curled a precise finish into the far corner to make it 2-0.
Levadia added a third before the half-hour mark. Frank Liivak broke down the right and saw his effort saved by Nõmm, but the rebound dropped perfectly for Mark Oliver Roosnupp, who headed into the net from close range.
The first half became increasingly one-sided. Joao Pedro and Ainsalu both had further attempts, while Vaprus struggled to create anything meaningful. Their best first-half moment came when Sander Kapper was sent behind the defence, but his effort went wide and the offside flag was eventually raised anyway.
Levadia went into the interval with a deserved 3-0 advantage after controlling 62 percent of possession and producing ten attempts to Vaprus’ two.
The pattern remained similar after the break. Levadia continued to dictate the game without needing to play at maximum intensity, while Vaprus largely focused on limiting further damage. Nõmm denied Tanel Tammik after a corner before the hosts were awarded a penalty in the 64th minute when Joonas Sild fouled Enock Otoo inside the area.
Wendell stepped up and converted from the spot for his second goal of the afternoon, extending the lead to 4-0.
Vaprus did finally threaten after falling four goals behind. Limberg struck the crossbar in the 67th minute before Tristan Pajo tested Karl Andre Vallner with an excellent long-range effort, forcing the Levadia goalkeeper into a strong save.
Those moments did little to change the overall direction of the match. Levadia remained comfortable through the closing stages and could even afford to rotate heavily, introducing several substitutes while maintaining control.
The final whistle confirmed a convincing 4-0 victory after Levadia recorded 18 attempts, eight of them on target. With another assured performance completed, their path towards the Premium Liiga title continues to look increasingly difficult for anyone to interrupt.
