UEFA have announced the UEFA Conference League league-phase schedule, confirming the full fixture list for both Baltic representatives – Riga FC and Kauno Žalgiris.
Latvian champions Riga FC will begin their campaign on 15 October at 19:45, hosting Kazakhstan’s Kairat Almaty at Skonto Stadium. On the same evening, Lithuanian champions Kauno Žalgiris will open their historic league-phase campaign with one of the biggest matches in the club’s history, travelling to England to face Brighton & Hove Albion at 22:00.
One of the standout fixtures from a Baltic perspective will come on 26 November, when Kauno Žalgiris host Riga FC in a Baltic derby at the Darius and Girėnas Stadium in Kaunas. The match is scheduled for 19:45.
Riga FC will continue their campaign one week after the opening round with an away trip to Cyprus against Pafos, before returning home on 5 November to face Czech side Jablonec. After the Baltic derby in Kaunas, Riga will welcome Serie A club Atalanta to Skonto Stadium on 10 December, before closing their league-phase campaign away in Bosnia against Borac Banja Luka one week later.
Kauno Žalgiris, meanwhile, will follow their trip to Brighton with a home match against Norwegian side Brann. In November, the Lithuanian champions will first travel to Switzerland to face Lugano, before hosting Riga FC in the Baltic derby.
Their campaign will conclude with two December fixtures. First, Kauno Žalgiris will travel to Albania to face Egnatia on 10 December, before ending the league phase with a major home fixture against German Bundesliga side Freiburg at the Darius and Girėnas Stadium.
