Estonian Premium Liiga bottom side Narva Trans have announced the departure of Georgian defender Shalva Burjanadze after both parties agreed to terminate his contract by mutual consent.

The 27-year-old centre-back joined Trans ahead of the 2024 season and became a regular in the squad, making 93 appearances in all competitions while contributing three goals and five assists.

Despite signing a contract extension until the end of the 2027 season last November, Burjanadze’s spell in Narva has come to an early end as the club looks to make changes in its battle to avoid relegation.

This season, the Georgian featured in 18 Premium Liiga matches, scoring once and providing one assist. Narva Trans currently sit bottom of the league table after 22 rounds, five points adrift of ninth-placed Kuressaare.

In a brief statement, the club thanked Burjanadze for his contribution over the past two and a half seasons, highlighting his professionalism and commitment, while wishing him every success in the next chapter of his career.
