FK Auda has announced the departure of 25-year-old Latvian international Aleksejs Saveļjevs as his contract with the club has come to an end. After three successful seasons together, both parties have agreed not to extend the partnership. The club expressed its heartfelt gratitude for Saveļjevs’ contributions and wished him success in the next stage of his career. “We’ve been together in the Virslīga since the start of the 2022 season, growing together and experiencing so much. But now the time has come to part ways. On behalf of the entire FK Auda family, we thank Aleksejs for everything he has done for the club. We are confident he has a bright future ahead and will make his mark on the European stage.”
Saveļjevs joined FK Auda at the beginning of the 2022 season and quickly became a key player for the team. Over three seasons, he made 106 official appearances, scored eight goals, and consistently delivered strong performances in central midfield. He was an integral part of the club’s biggest achievements, including debuting in European competitions and winning Auda’s first-ever Latvian Cup title.
In addition to his success with FK Auda, Saveļjevs has been a regular for the Latvian national team, earning 25 caps and scoring one goal. His contributions at the domestic and international levels have established him as one of Latvia’s top midfielders at the moment.
