Today, the champions FCI Levadia Tallinn announced the signing of Tanel Tammik, a central defender and 22-year-old Estonian youth international. Tammik joins the 11-time Estonian champions after a successful season with Tartu Tammeka, where he played 32 matches in 2024, scoring three goals and providing one assist. Throughout his career, Tammik has participated in 118 games in the Premium Liiga, netting seven goals. He currently serves as captain of the Estonian U21 national team and has made 15 appearances for the youth teams, scoring once for the U21 side.
Tanel Tammik stated, “I am thrilled to join the reigning Estonian champions! A new chapter in my career is beginning. I look forward to the new season, getting to know the team, and taking on new challenges. I will give my all to help the club achieve its goals for the upcoming season!”
FCI Levadia sports director Mihhail Gulordava commented, “We have been following Tammik’s development for two years now, and we believe this is the right moment for him and the club to start working together. As the Estonian U21 national team captain, he possesses strong leadership qualities as a central defender. We are confident he can help the team and the club achieve the new season’s objectives. Welcome to the club, Tanel!”
Tanel is the first new signing for FCI Levadia this season. However, the club previously announced that it had signed contract extensions with multiple players who led the team to the league title as it prepares to defend it next season.
FCI Levadia will hold its first training session of the new season on January 7th.
