German born dual German-Lithuanian national Manfredas Ruzgis moved into a top scorer position in Albanian second tier – the Kategoria e Parë – after scoring a brace in a 4-0 away win against FK Kukësi. The 27 year old, who moved to Albania SC Wiedenbrück this summer, has now scored 9 goals in 13 matches, reaching half of his total goal tally for his previous club, albeit collected over 70 matches.

The 1.89 meter tall center forward, nicknamed the ‘Panzer’ back during his days with SC Wiedenbrück in the German fourth tier, is known for being strong in tackles and for good quality of finishing.

On his arrival to his new club – FK Vora – bak in July, Ruzgis said:

The reason why I am here at Vora is that I wanted to gain a new experience in Balkan football. The team has made a good appearance in these first 6 weeks of the championship. Vora has achieved 5 victories, which keep us in the first three places. This series of victories will continue against the next opponent, who I do not know very well.

I have not even been given the opportunity to see them in a match. We are prepared to do our best to score the 6th victory. For us, every opponent is the same and everyone gets the same assessment. In every game, we enter the field dedicated and with a winning mentality. I am fully confident that we will succeed with three points and that I will score again.
