Fayçal Konaté joins FC RFS ahead of 2025 season

Fayçal Konaté, an 18-year-old center-forward from Burkina Faso, is set to officially join FC RFS in January 2025 according to 226foot. Currently on loan at Rail Club du Kadiogo (RCK) from Salitas FC in Burkina Faso, Konaté has already trained with the Latvian Virslīga club this year and even participated in a friendly match against FA Šiauliai earlier this year. Standing at an impressive 1.97 meters, Konaté’s physical presence and potential have made him a very intriguing player.

The deal has been finalized, with only minor administrative details remaining before his arrival. Once in Latvia, Konaté will join pre-season training and aim to make his mark in the competitive Virslīga. He will become the second Burkinabé player in the league, following Ousmane Camara, who plays for FK Auda on loan from Riga FC and debuted for Burkina Faso’s senior national team this year.
