Kauno Žalgiris booked their place in the LFF Cup semi-finals with a 3-0 away win over Vilnius BFA.
Interim head coach Algis Jankauskas saw his side go ahead after 32 minutes when Motiejus Burba’s pass set up Leo Ribeiro, who finished with a well-placed effort. Dāvis Ikaunieks had earlier missed a one-on-one chance, while BFA had a goal ruled out for offside.
The Toplyga Champions doubled their advantage quickly after the break as Nosa Edokpolor pounced on a loose ball in the penalty area. Haris Kadrič made his debut, coming off the bench in place of Ikaunieks in the 78th minute, and came close late on but was denied by the keeper, before playing a part in the third goal. In the 87th minute, Kadrič won an aerial duel and fed Burba, whose goal sealed the tie.
Kauno Žalgiris will play away in the semi-finals against either Džiugas or FA Šiauliai.
