Estonian Saku Sporting were heavily beaten 7-0 by Latvia’s Riga FC Women in the fourth round of the Baltic women’s league as Riga’s Brima completed a poker in the second half.

The Estonian side remained competitive for much of the first half despite going into the break already 2-0 down, with Brima and Preijere scoring for the hosts. It was when the match resumed that the scoreline truly ran away from Saku Sporting as Brima added three more to complete a poker, and Šenberga and Taketa contributed one each with Riga Women completing a dominating win.

Four matches into the campaign, Sporting remain bottom of the table without a point, having lost all four fixtures against Latvian and Lithuanian opposition. Their earlier results were a 5-0 defeat by Žalgiris, a 3-1 loss to Gintra and a 3-0 against RFS.

Riga FC Women, one the other hand, have already qualified for the Baltic League semi-finals with 8 points from 4 games, losing points against both Lithuanian teams – 2-2 against MFA Žalgiris and 1-1 against Gintra.
