The Estonia national team will take part in the upcoming FIFA Series tournament in Rwanda this March, with head coach Jürgen Henn announcing his squad for the trip to Africa.

Estonia will compete in a four-team mini-tournament alongside hosts Rwanda, Kenya and Grenada, with matches taking place in the capital Kigali at the recently renovated Amahoro Stadium.

The squad selection sees a number of notable absences due to health-related issues. Key players such as Karl Jakob Hein, Märten Kuusk, Karol Mets, Mattias Käit, Vlasij Sinyavskij, Maksim Paskotši, Joonas Tamm and others will not be available for this training camp and tournament.

However, the tournament could mark a significant moment for several emerging players. Up to eight footballers could make their senior national team debuts in Rwanda, including Henri Perk, Kaur Kivila, Sander Tovstik, Mihhail Kolobov, Tanel Tammik, Kristofer Käit, Rommi Siht and Mattias Männilaan.

Estonia will open their campaign on March 27, facing Kenya at 18:00. On the same day, Rwanda and Grenada will meet in the second semi-final. The losers of both matches will face each other on March 30, while the winners will contest the final later that evening.

All matches will be played at the 45,000-capacity Amahoro Stadium, originally built in 1986 and recently upgraded in 2024, providing a modern stage for the international tournament.

The FIFA Series tournaments are a continuation of a successful pilot project launched in 2024, aimed at giving national teams more opportunities for competitive international matches. Alongside Rwanda, similar four-team tournaments will also take place in countries such as Australia, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico and Uzbekistan, while three women’s tournaments are scheduled in Brazil, Ivory Coast and Thailand.
