Lithuanian defender Vilius Armalas played the full 90 minutes as MTK Budapest earned a goalless draw against league leaders Győr in the Hungarian championship.
The 25-year-old full-back made his third consecutive start for MTK, who were looking to end a run of seven league matches without a victory. Their last win in the league came on January 24.
Facing the surprise leaders Győr, the hosts produced a strong performance, dominating both possession and chances throughout the match. However, despite controlling much of the game, MTK were unable to find the decisive goal and had to settle for a point.
For Armalas, the match marked his fifth league appearance since joining MTK Budapest in January from Hegelmann. In those five matches he has also recorded one assist.
The draw allows MTK to slightly increase the gap above the relegation zone. The Budapest side currently sits ninth with 28 points, while DVTK, who occupy 11th place in the relegation zone, are now three points behind.
MTK Budapest will return to action next Friday, when they host Paks at home.
