Lithuanian midfielder Gvidas Gineitis started for the fifth consecutive Serie A match as Torino FC suffered a 1-2 defeat against defending champions Napoli.

The 21-year-old Lithuanian international was again included in the starting lineup as Torino faced Napoli, a side they had beaten earlier this season in the first meeting between the clubs in Turin.

Napoli opened the scoring early in the match, with Brazilian forward Alisson Santos finding the net in the 7th minute. The visitors doubled their advantage in the second half through Eljif Elmas, putting Torino under heavy pressure.

Torino managed to pull one goal back late in the game, but it was not enough to avoid defeat.

Gineitis played 67 minutes before being substituted with Torino trailing 0-1. The Lithuanian international made his 20th appearance in Serie A, recording one assist so far this season.

After 28 matches, Torino sit 14th in the Serie A table with 30 points. Their next match will take place next Friday at home against Parma.
