FK Auda, the reigning Latvian Cup holders, have registered Panama U-21 national team forward Josue Vergara, according to information published on the Latvian Football Federation’s official transfer list.

The 18-year-old striker joins Auda after spending his entire career within the system of Panamanian top-flight club Tauro FC. Vergara made 38 appearances for Tauro’s first team, scoring five goals.

Standing at 192 centimeters, the forward has represented both Panama’s U-20 and U-21 national teams. Across the two age groups, he has earned a total of 10 caps and scored four goals. Although he featured for Panama’s U-20 side late last year, Vergara was not included in the squad for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, held in Chile in September and October, where Panama were eliminated in the group stage.

Auda have previously recruited attacking players from North and South America. Haiti international Jeudi Stevenson became the first Haitian player in the club’s history, while Bolivian forward Enzo Monteiro was the first Bolivian to represent the team. With Vergara’s arrival, he becomes the first Panamanian player to join FK Auda.

Vergara was not included in the squad for the Latvian Super Cup match held in Antalya, Turkey, a few days ago, where Auda suffered defeat.

FK Auda will begin their 2026 Virslīga campaign on March 8 with a home match against SK Super Nova.
