Žalgiris Women have strengthened their attacking options by signing Ukrainian striker Valeriia Postol, one of the standout attackers in Lithuania women’s top flight over the past two seasons.
Postol arrives from TransINVEST, where she finished as the league’s top scorer in 2024 with 20 goals in 19 matches. Last season she scored six times as TransINVEST ended the campaign in second place. Prior to this, she represented FK Vilnius.
“I was looking for a new step in my career and decided to take on this challenge,” Postol told club media. “I feel very comfortable in Vilnius. I’ve met people here who have become close friends.”
Žalgiris’ next Winter Cup match is on Saturday, 14 February, against MFA Žalgiris, with the Women’s A Lyga season expected to begin in mid-March.
