Premium Liiga club Paide Linnameeskond have completed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Daniel Cabral, adding the 23-year-old to their squad on a three-year contract ahead of the new season.
Cabral is a product of the famed Flamengo academy, which he joined at just seven years old before progressing all the way to the senior team. In 2021, he also trained with Brazil’s full national team during an international window, sharing sessions with established stars such as Neymar, Marquinhos, Lucas Paquetá and Richarlison.
His early career already includes notable silverware. Cabral was part of Brazil’s squad that won the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2019 and later lifted both the Campeonato Carioca title in 2021 and the Copa do Brasil in 2022 with Flamengo.
In the summer of 2024, Cabral moved to Europe, signing with Portuguese side Estrela da Amadora. He made his Primeira Liga debut in early 2025 against Braga, before later returning to Brazil on loan spells with Remo and Volta Redonda.
Speaking after completing the move, Cabral expressed his determination to repay Paide’s trust.
“This is a very happy and grateful moment for me,” Cabral said. “Paide believed in me fully and made a strong effort to bring me here. I want to give back on and off the pitch, respecting the shirt, the city and the fans. My expectations are high – I want us to take a big step forward and help deliver a trophy-winning season and meet all the club’s goals.”
Paide sporting director Gert Kams highlighted Cabral’s versatility and technical qualities.
“Daniel is a very versatile player whose strengths show best on the ball,” Kams said. “His ability to link play and dictate the tempo is at a very good level, and his arrival gives our midfield more depth and quality.”
