FK Tukums 2000 have announced strategic cooperation with Japanese club FC Ryukyu, immediately commensurated by securing a 20-year-old midfielder Yushin Koki on loan until June 2026. The transfer marks the first concrete outcome of the partnership between the two clubs and offers an early indication of how this relationship is intended to function in practice.
Koki arrives from FC Ryukyu with a full season of senior football behind him. Standing at 177 centimetres, he operates primarily as a left midfielder but is comfortable on the right flank, giving him immediate tactical utility across both wide channels. In the 2025 season, Koki featured in 33 J3 League matches (Japanese third tier), scoring twice and providing one assist. Beyond league play, he added three appearances in the J.League Cup and one in the Emperor’s Cup, bringing his season total to 37 senior outings across competitions.
For FK Tukums 2000, cooperation agreement with FC Ryukyu explicitly covers both academy and first-team levels, with an emphasis on player development, information exchange, and potential future loans.
