Lithuanian forward Nauris Petkevičius is set to continue his career abroad once again, this time moving to India, where he will join Inter Kashi FC ahead of the club’s debut season in the country’s top flight.

Petkevičius’ former club FK Sūduva confirmed earlier today that the 25-year-old striker is leaving Marijampolė after one season. Shortly afterward, reports emerged on social media identifying Inter Kashi FC as his next destination.

The forward, who has made four appearances for the Lithuanian national team, received his first call-up since the summer of 2022 during the September 2025 international window. He enjoyed a solid 2025 domestic campaign with Sūduva, scoring eight goals and providing five assists across 35 league matches.

This move marks Petkevičius’ third attempt at establishing himself abroad. Earlier in his career, he spent three years in the youth system of Lille before later gaining experience in Belgium, where he played for one season. Domestically, he has represented Stumbras, Hegelmann, FK Žalgiris, FA Šiauliai, and Sūduva, accumulating 125 appearances in Lithuania’s top division and scoring 28 goals.

Inter Kashi FC are a relatively new club, founded in 2023 and based in the historic city of Varanasi on the banks of the Ganges River. The club earned promotion by winning India’s second division and will make their first appearance in the Indian Super League this season.

The upcoming Indian league campaign has faced significant delays. Originally scheduled to begin in September, the 2025-26 season was postponed due to unresolved contractual issues between Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) and the All India Football Federation (AIFF), despite intervention from the Supreme Court. Following further setbacks, including a failed commercial tender, the season will ultimately start on 14 February 2026.
