RFS recorded another win on Wednesday afternoon, extending their perfect pre-season start with three wins in three games.
Morozs started a mixed XI featuring first-team players, reserves, and trialists. The forward line consisted of Lasha Odisharia, Cedric Kouadio, Ruslans Deružinskis, and Rostand Ndjiki, who had just signed a contract with RFS until the end of 2028.
Ndjiki straight away got to work, after slotting home the first goal of the match already in the eighth minute. The Cameroonian chased a long ball from Stefan Panič, used his body to get rid of his man, controlled it brilliantly, and put it past the keeper to make it 1:0.
Ndjiki continued to be active in the attack, displaying his exceptional individual skills in both holding up the play and advancing it.

The second half saw RFS introduce almost a brand-new team. However, they struggled to break Grobiņa’s low block that only proved not too strong for Lasha Odisharia in the first half.
Unlike substitute Victor Promise, who shone against Super Nova, Odisharia constantly bullied Grobiņa’s defense in the first half, at one point even coming close to scoring if it was not for Pinčuks’ great save. Promise was not able to repeat his heroics as he did against Super Nova, being disarmed at all times.
Eventually, RFS doubled their lead through Jānis Ikaunieks, who managed to control a pass played from his own half and put the ball in the back of the net.
Grobiņa got one back from a corner before Ikaunieks regained the two-goal advantage, this time volleying the ball from the back post.
Later in the match, Deivids Dobrecovs was denied by the bar from a free-kick, but later was able to get his consolation goal by converting a penalty as the final whistle blew straight after.
What next for RFS?
