Lithuania international Erika Šupelytė is set for a new stint with Žalgiris, rejoining the Vilnius side three years after her last appearance for the club.
The 22-year-old arrives from Gintra, where she spent the past three seasons and added three Lithuanian league titles to her honours, as well as winning the Baltic Women’s League in 2023. Šupelytė also featured in UEFA Women’s Champions League and Women’s Europa Cup qualifying during her time in Šiauliai.
Šupelytė previously played for Žalgiris in 2016-2017 and 2020-2022, making her top-flight debut at 13 in August 2016 and scoring her first Women’s A Lyga goal a week later. Across her earlier spells with the club she made 65 league appearances and scored 17 goals, with 2022 a standout campaign as she netted seven times in 20 matches and was named the league’s best forward.
At Gintra, she scored 24 goals in 60 league games, including 12 in 20 matches in 2024 when she was voted the best player in Lithuania’s women’s top division. Last season she scored four times in 16 league outings.
