Latvian champions Riga FC have officially completed the signing of Brazilian winger Caio Ferreira, who joins the club from Romanian top-flight side FC Argeș.

As previously reported, Riga FC had been close to finalizing a deal for the Brazilian attacker, and the transfer has now been confirmed. Ferreira has signed a three-year contract with the Latvian champions. The 25-year-old arrives from FC Argeș, where he was one of the team’s key players in his first season in Romania, recording three goals and three assists in 18 league appearances.

Ferreira first moved to Europe a year earlier and made an immediate impact in the Moldovan championship. Playing for FC Bălți, he scored 12 goals in 24 league matches, helping the club secure a fifth-place finish.

According to information obtained by Baltic Football News, the transfer fee is believed to exceed €500,000, with FC Argeș also expected to retain a sell-on percentage. However, Riga FC have not disclosed any financial details of the deal.

Caio Ferreira becomes Riga FC’s third signing of the offseason, following the arrivals of goalkeeper Frenks Dāvids Orols and Tunisian winger Raki Aouani. Riga FC gathered for their first training session yesterday and will depart for Dubai in the coming days, where the club will hold its annual preseason training camp.
