Virslīga newcomers Ogre United continue to strengthen their squad ahead of their historic top-flight debut, announcing the signings of two experienced Virslīga players – midfielder Kristers Čudars and goalkeeper Ņikita Parfjonovs.
The 26-year-old Čudars joins Ogre United after an impressive season with SK Super Nova, where he was one of the team’s key figures. Last season, the midfielder featured in 35 league matches, scoring four goals and playing a central role throughout the campaign.
Čudars is a two-time Virslīga champion, having lifted the title with Riga FC in 2018 and Valmiera FC in 2022. Over the course of his career, he has made 148 Virslīga appearances, scoring six goals. The midfielder has represented several Latvian clubs at the top level, including FK Liepāja, FK Metta, Valmiera FC, FK Grobiņa, and most recently SK Super Nova.
Meanwhile, Ogre United have also secured stability between the posts with the signing of Ņikita Parfjonovs. The Latvian U-21 national team goalkeeper played 23 Virslīga matches last season for FK Metta and FK Tukums 2000, keeping five clean sheets.
The 21-year-old Metta academy graduate signed a contract with FK Liepāja last summer and spent the second part of the 2025 season on loan at Tukums. Now, Parfjonovs has found a new home, as he prepares to guard Ogre United’s goal in their debut Virslīga campaign.
Parfjonovs has earned six caps for Latvia’s U-21 national team and also have played football abroad, having spent the 2023/24 season in Cyprus, where he played in the country’s second division for Akritas Chloraka.
