Widzew Łódź announced on the club website that both Mindaugas Nikoličius, from Lithuania, and Igor Čerina, from Croatia, have left their roles as sporting director and recruitment director respectively.

Nikoličius took up the sporting director post in early March, while Čerina joined his team a few weeks later. The club’s sports board, represented by Dariusz Adamczuk, thanked them for their work over the past months and explained the changes are part of a structural realignment. Adamczuk said the club had reviewed its operations and decided not to delay changes until the winter—he stressed that responsibility for transfers must be clearly consolidated in one person.

Widzew added that they do not plan to hire new officials to replace the vacated roles at this time. Instead the scouting hierarchy will rely on Sławomir Rafałowicz and Piotr Kasprzak, who are already intensively working on the winter transfer window.

The club board extended its thanks to Nikoličius and Čerina for their contributions and wished them success in their future careers.
