Six-goal show in Šiauliai as hosts snatch a late point against Paņevežys

Another thrilling encounter unfolded in the Lithuanian A Lyga, where FA Šiauliai and FK Panevėžys played out a 3-3 draw in Round 30. The home side rescued a point deep into stoppage time in what was a goal-filled and emotional clash.

Šiauliai started the game on the front foot. After a defensive mistake by Seydina Keita, Eligijus Jankauskas opened the scoring in the 10th minute to put the hosts ahead. However, Panevėžys soon took control of the match.

Following a series of excellent passes from Lucas de Vega, Ariagner Smith, Kwadwo Asamoah, and Salomon Kouadio all threatened the Šiauliai goal, while Isaac Asante hit the post. Persistence paid off in the 33rd minute, when the Belgian midfielder Asante finally found the net with a long-range strike to level the game.

Jankauskas struck again in the 50th minute – his 15th goal of the season – to restore Šiauliai’s lead with a precise finish. But Panevėžys quickly turned things around. Although Kouadio missed a good opportunity, the visitors hit back through goals from Elivelto and Ariagner Smith, going ahead 3-2.

In a tense and emotional finale, Šiauliai refused to give up. In the fourth minute of added time, Martynas Dapkus pounced from close range to steer the ball into the net, salvaging a dramatic late point for the home side.
