Tickets are disappearing fast for Estonia’s upcoming World Cup qualifier against four-time world champions Italy, with fewer than 1,000 seats still available for the 11 October fixture at Tallinn’s A. Le Coq Arena.

The expected attendance of 12,500 would mark the second sell-out at the national stadium in just a few months. “Interest in the men’s national team’s home matches is very high – once again we are heading for a full house. A big thank you to all football fans,” said Mihkel Uiboleht, head of match organisation at the Estonian FA.

Depending on how many away fans travel from Italy, a few hundred additional tickets may become available on the north stand in early October. Tournament rules require hosts to reserve a fixed percentage of seats for visiting supporters, but any unsold allocation can later be released back to the home market.

The festival area outside the stadium will open at 19:00 on matchday, offering activities for fans of all ages. Gates open at 19:45, the teams warm up from 21:00, national anthems will be played at 21:35 and kick-off is at 21:45. The match is presented by EJL’s main sponsor Nike.

Italy last played in Tallinn in 2010, when Sergei Zenjov’s first-half strike gave Estonia a shock lead in a Euro qualifier, before the Azzurri turned the game around to win 2–1. The two teams most recently met on 5th September, when Italy scored all of their goals in the final half-hour to run out 5–0 winners.

Estonia’s attendance record this year was set in the World Cup qualifier against Norway, which drew 11,577 fans. The matches against Israel (5,967) and Andorra (4,641) attracted smaller crowds.

Tickets for the Italy match are on sale via the Estonian FA website and Piletilevi. The FA reminds supporters that resale, including to away fans, or use of tickets for commercial purposes without approval is strictly prohibited.
