A cooperation agreement signed today between the Türi Sports Clubs Union, the Estonian Football Association (EJL) and local club Türi Ganvix will see the town’s small artificial football pitch receive a brand new surface this year.

Under the deal, the Estonian FA will organise the procurement process and cover the cost of the works — a total of €35,143.71, according to Järva Teataja. The Türi Sports Clubs Union will be responsible for maintaining the pitch year-round and ensuring suitable conditions for use, while Ganvix will have priority access for the next ten years in return for careful management.

Vitali Gansen, the driving force behind Ganvix, welcomed the agreement. “The Türi artificial pitch had been in use for more than ten years and was badly worn. It was in urgent need of replacement,” he said.

The pitch itself is modest in size, measuring just 40 by 25 metres, but remains an important facility for the local football community.

Türi is a small town in central Estonia’s Järva County, about 100 kilometres south of Tallinn. Known as the “spring capital” of Estonia, it has a population of around 10,000 and plays a key role in grassroots football in the region.
