The draw for the next round of the Evald Tipner Cup was made today at the Estonian Football Association, with the last 16 ties confirmed — and the possibility of a huge Tallinn derby on the horizon.
Eight-time cup winners FC Flora have been paired with the winner of the tie between 11-time champions FCI Levadia and Flora’s reserve side. Levadia, who reached last year’s final, are strong favourites to advance, raising the prospect of a mouth-watering capital clash in the next round — one that would end the cup journey of one of Estonia’s biggest clubs.
Elsewhere, Harju JK Laagri will host Nõmme United in a repeat of their 2024 meeting, when Harju won 3-0 in the last 32. Tallinna Kalev travel to Esiliiga side Elva, while Nõmme Kalju face second-tier high-flyers Viimsi at home. Narva Trans will meet FC Tallinn, currently sixth in the Esiliiga.
The only all–Premium Liiga tie sees Paide Linnameeskond welcome Tartu Tammeka, while Pärnu Vaprus, who cruised through the previous round, visit II liiga outfit Tallinna Zapoos. At the other end of the scale, II liiga’s bottom club Pärnu Poseidon take on Esiliiga bronze contenders Tartu Welco.
