Lithuanian international forward Manfredas Ruzgis will remain in Albania for the upcoming season, having officially extended his contract with Vora FC. The 28 year-old striker enjoyed a standout campaign last year, finishing as the top scorer in Albania’s second division with an impressive 24 goals.

Ruzgis played a key role in Vora’s title-winning season, helping the club earn promotion to the Albanian Superliga, the country’s top flight. His performances sparked transfer speculation in recent months, with reported interest from several clubs abroad, including Azerbaijani champions Qarabağ, who are currently competing in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers.

However, despite the tempting offers, Ruzgis opted for stability and familiarity, choosing to continue his journey with Vora. According to Albanian media reports, the decision was influenced by both professional and personal factors. One such factor is the recent birth of his son, which reportedly encouraged the forward to prioritize family life and avoid hasty career moves.

Ruzgis has already returned to team training and featured in recent friendly matches against Besa and Teuta as the club prepares for its debut season in the top division. With the squad being strengthened during the summer window, Vora hopes to build on last season’s momentum, and now they can count on their star striker to lead the charge once again.

Ruzgis’ future is clear: he will continue to wear the Vora shirt as the team embarks on a new challenge in Albanian football’s top tier.
