FC Hegelmann have officially made their first move in the summer transfer window by signing Nigerian defender Isaac Barry Ojumah. The 23-year-old joins the blue and white squad from Armenia.

Standing at 190 cm, Ojumah is known for his physical presence, fighting spirit, and versatility on the pitch. Over the past seasons, he competed in the Armenian Premier League, representing top-flight clubs Urartu Yerevan and FC West Armenia. During his time in Armenia, he appeared in 27 matches, scored one goal, and provided one assist.

Ojumah’s international journey began in the summer of 2024, when he made his debut in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers with Urartu. The Armenian side eliminated Estonia’s Tallinna Kalev in the first round but were knocked out by Czech club Baník Ostrava in the second. Impressively, Ojumah started all four matches, logging over 350 minutes on the field.

One of the highlights of his career so far is winning the Armenian league title with Urartu in the 2022-2023 season, a significant milestone that underscores his ability to perform at a high level.

Speaking upon his arrival in Lithuania, Ojumah shared his excitement:
“I believe Hegelmann is a very good club. I want to compete for titles and create new history with the blue and whites,” he said.

The Nigerian defender has already been registered and is eligible to make his debut tonight in the TOPsport A Lyga fixture against FK Sūduva Marijampolė, set to take place in Raudondvaris.
