A closely contested Matchday 14 fixture in the A Lyga unfolded in Žemaitija, where FC Džiugas Telšiai hosted FK Žalgiris. After 90 minutes of high-tempo football, the teams were forced to share the spoils in a 1–1 draw.
The hosts struck early. In the 8th minute, a lightning-quick counterattack saw Deitonas Vinckus deliver a precise assist to Vilius Piliukaitis, who outmaneuvered both defender and keeper to slot home and give Džiugas the lead.
Žalgiris responded with attacking intent. In the 14th minute, Dino Salčinović and Joris Moutachy combined elegantly, but Džiugas keeper Marius Paukštė stood tall.
