**[FK Panevėžys](https://balticfootballnews.com/?page_id=2388 "FK Panevėžys") announced contract extension with veteran midfielder Ernestas Veliulis until the end of 2025 season.**

The club announced contract extension on their homepage yesterday, thus securing the services of **Ernestas Veliulis** for the seventh season. Veliulis (32), himself a Panevėžys native, has been with the club since coming over from FC Jonava at the beginning of 2019. A versatile winger capable of playing on either right or left, Veliulis played 29 matches across all competitions for Panevėžys last season, scoring 4 goals and making 3 assists.

Ernestas Veliulis has played for seven different clubs during his professional career, including a brief period in Latvia for the now-defunct Daugava Riga. Coming into the 2025 season, he has 370 A Lyga games under his belt, having scored 61 goals and made 45 assists since his debut in 2010.

FK Panevėžys have reconvened to begin their pre-season preparations on the 6th of January.
