FK Auda midfielder Renārs Varslavāns is set to continue his career with Virslīga leaders Riga FC, according to Baltic Football News sources.

The 23-year-old midfielder has had a strong season with Auda, recording four goals and three assists across 23 Virslīga appearances.

Varslavāns joined Auda ahead of the 2025 season after two years with Valmiera FC. A product of the Skonto and FK Metta academies, he made his Virslīga debut for FK Metta at just 15 years old back in 2017. Before his stint with Valmiera, Varslavāns spent three seasons at FC RFS, where he won the Latvian league title in 2021.

On the international stage, Varslavāns has already earned 16 caps for the Latvian national team, scoring one goal for his country.

Riga FC, who secured a place in the UEFA Conference League playoff round last night – where they will face Czech giants Sparta Prague – currently sit atop the Virslīga table with 67 points. With 10 rounds remaining, they hold a narrow three-point lead over second-place FC RFS.
