Uldriķis plays full match as Arminia fall to Schalke

Latvian striker Roberts Uldriķis played entire match as his Arminia Bielefeld were beaten 0-1 away by Schalke 04 in Germany’s 2. Bundesliga on Friday.

Uldriķis started in front of a crowd of more than 62,000. Bielefeld allowed the only goal of the game in the first half when Bosnia and Herzegovina forward Edin Džeko scored for Schalke.

Bielefeld thought they had levelled late on when Joel Grodowski put the ball in the net with Roberts Uldriķis assisting to the goal, but the flag was raised for offside and the goal was disallowed.

Uldriķis who had one shot on target in this game made his 8th appearance in the 2. Bundesliga this season. He has two goals and one assist to his name.

After 25 matches, Arminia have 27 points and sit 12th in the table, while Schalke lead the standings on 50 points. The bottom two clubs are relegated, with the third-bottom side entering the end-of-season play-offs.
