Two promising Latvian talents on trial at Serie A academies

Two promising young footballers from Latvia have earned trials at prestigious Serie A academies, showcasing their potential on one of Europe’s biggest stages.

Pauls Pinkulis, a 15-year-old center-back born in 2009, has arrived at Juventus for a trial. A product of the FK Metta academy.

Meanwhile, Ernests Pigits, also 15 and born in 2009, is currently on trial at CFC Genoa. A talented left winger also from FK Metta academy, Pigits was recently named Latvia’s 2009-born Player of the Year for 2024
