A Lyga club Džiugas Telšiai have announced that midfielder Vilius Piliukaitis and goalkeeper Mykyta Rybchynskyi will remain with the team for the 2026 season.
The 24-year-old Piliukaitis completed his first season with Džiugas last year, establishing himself as a key member of the squad. He featured in 36 matches, contributing two goals and two assists.
Piliukaitis, born in Tauragė, returned to Lithuania in 2021 after spells abroad with Blackburn Rovers’ academy and the academies of Torino and Ascoli in Italy. Before joining Džiugas, he played for Vilnius Žalgiris and FK Banga Gargždai, winning two A Lyga titles with Žalgiris and securing one cup title with each club.
Last season, Piliukaitis reached 100 A Lyga appearances, and in total has played 116 top-flight matches, scoring seven goals across his career.
Meanwhile, 21-year-old Ukrainian goalkeeper Rybchynskyi joined the club in the second half of 2025. He has yet to make his first-team debut but featured regularly for the reserve squad in Lithuania’s third-tier league, making 13 appearances.
A product of Vorskla Poltava’s youth system, Rybchynskyi previously was with several lower-division clubs in Poland before moving to Lithuania.
