Artemijus Tutyškinas and Armandas Kučys NK Celje delivered a footballing masterclass in the Slovenian Cup final, dismantling Koper 4–0 in a one-sided showdown at Stožice Stadium to win their second Slovenian Cup and first since the 2004/05 season.
The 21-year-old Artemijus Tutyškinas entered the match in the 76th minute, making his mark in the final stages as Celje cruised to a dominant victory. On the other hand, fellow Lithuanian Armandas Kučys watched the game from the sidelines due to injury.
Celje stunned Koper with a relentless first-half display, netting three goals before the break through Svit Sešlar, Aljoša Matko, and Nikita Iosifov. The team’s high tempo, sharp passing, and clinical finishing left the Koper reeling and without a real answer. A fourth goal, again involving Matko, sealed the deal in the second half.
Despite a brief scuffle late in the match that resulted in a red card for Koper’s Felipe Curcio, nothing could overshadow Celje’s night. For Tutyškinas, the closing minutes were a chance to experience silverware firsthand.
Celje thanks to this title win now has earned a place in the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round.
