Estonian Premium Liiga club Paide Linnameeskond have officially announced the return of defender Edgar Tur from FCI Levadia Tallinn, with the 28-year-old left-back signing a three-year contract.

Tur returns to Paide after spending the past three seasons with Levadia, where he enjoyed a successful period that included winning the Estonian league title, cup and Super Cup. During the most recent season, Tur was a key figure in Levadia’s squad, making 27 league appearances, scoring two goals and registering seven assists. Across all competitions, he featured in 101 matches over three seasons, contributing three goals and 21 assists from defence.

Now back in Paide, where he previously played between 2017 and 2022, Tur reconnects with a club where he spent six seasons and lifted the Estonian Cup. Paide finished fourth in the Premium Liiga this season and will be hoping that Tur’s return strengthens their push for domestic success in the years ahead.

Speaking after completing his move, Tur expressed his excitement about returning to familiar surroundings:

“I’m incredibly happy to be back in Paide. The club is growing and developing every year, and I will give everything I have to help the team fight for the long-awaited league title. I’m really looking forward to the new season and seeing the fans again – their support has always meant a lot to me.”

Paide sporting director Gert Kams highlighted the importance of the signing, both from a sporting and strategic perspective:

“We are very happy to welcome Edgar back to Paide, the club where he first made his name at the highest level. Edgar is in the prime of his career and brings consistency week after week. He adds depth to our defence and gives us more tactical options on the pitch.”

Kams also stressed the importance of Tur’s familiarity with the club:

“Edgar already knows the environment and the people here. That makes this signing especially valuable for both sides.”

In addition to his club career, Tur has also earned seven caps for the Estonian national team, scoring one goal at international level.
