Estonia international Georgi Tunjov provided the decisive contribution in Pro Patria’s opening goal for the second Serie C weekend in a row, but his side were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw away to Alcione Milano.
The breakthrough arrived in the 58th minute when Tunjov drove in from the right and got his shot away. The goalkeeper kept it out, but Christian Travaglini reacted quickest to the rebound and forced the ball over the line.
Pro Patria looked set to take all three points, only for Alcione to equalise deep into stoppage time. The hosts levelled from the penalty spot in the 90th minute plus eight, leaving the points shared.
Tunjov was a prominent figure in the match highlights throughout. He tested the goalkeeper with a direct free-kick in the ninth minute, came close again from another set-piece just before half-time, and had a headed chance early in the second half.
The 24-year-old has now recorded assists in consecutive league matches. A week earlier, he played the through ball for Pro Patria’s opener in a 2-2 draw with Virtus Verona.
