Latvian Higher League side FK Tukums 2000 continue to build for the future, announcing another important contract extension – this time with wing-back Niks Dusalijevs, who has signed a new deal keeping him at the club until the end of next season.

While the Tukums team are still battling it out in the final rounds of the Latvian Virslīga, the club has already begun shaping its squad for the upcoming campaign. Following the announcements that midfielders Kaspars Anmanis and Bogdans Samoilovs will remain with the club, Tukums have now confirmed that one of their standout performers, Niks Dusalijevs, will also stay on board.

The 24-year-old full-back has been enjoying the best season of his career so far. In his first season with Tukums, after spending four years with Valmiera FC – where he became a Latvian champion in 2022 – Dusalijevs has made 33 league appearances, scoring five goals and providing nine assists.

A product of the Limbaži Football School, Dusalijevs later joined the FK Ventspils Academy, where he made his Virslīga debut in 2019. After the collapse of FK Ventspils, he moved to Valmiera FC, remaining there until the end of last season before making the switch to Tukums.

Over his career, Dusalijevs has now featured in 94 Virslīga matches, contributing eight goals and nine assists.
