The final match of Round 2 in the Toplyga took place in the capital, where FK TransINVEST delivered a dominant performance to defeat FK Riteriai 3-0.

After surrendering a two-goal lead in their opening-round draw against FA Šiauliai, TransINVEST made just one change to the starting lineup, with Austrian legionnaire Denis Bosnjak replacing Domantas Sluta. Riteriai, meanwhile, were without suspended Jonas Usavičius following their narrow defeat to Kauno Žalgiris. His place was taken by Ukrainian defender Dmytro Bondar, who previously represented Neptūnas and last season featured for Estonian side JK Narva Trans.

The first real threat came midway through the opening half when Bosnjak tested goalkeeper Simone Moschin from distance, but the Riteriai shot-stopper was equal to the effort. Soon after, however, the deadlock was broken. Stefan Miloševic fed Yegor Glushach, who unleashed a powerful strike from the edge of the box to give the hosts the lead.

Moschin was called into action again shortly afterward, denying a long-range attempt from Mykola Musolitin to keep Riteriai within reach before halftime.

The pattern continued after the break, with TransINVEST firmly in control. Mocxhin once again stopped Glushach early in the second half, while Musolitin’s effort drifted wide. The pressure eventually paid off in the 50th minute when Glushach slipped the ball to Xabi Auzmendi, who drilled a low shot into the near corner to double the advantage.

TransINVEST sealed the result in the 80th minute. Hideyasu Tanaka found Auzmendi inside the penalty area, and the Spanish forward calmly completed his brace to make it 3-0.

Riteriai had a late opportunity through Meinardas Mikulėnas, but he failed to hit the target, summing up a frustrating evening for the visitors.

With their first victory of the season, TransINVEST move up to four points from two matches. Riteriai, meanwhile, remain the only team in the Toplyga yet to collect a point after two rounds.
