After winning a free-kick on the left flank, Aleksander Filatov sent in a curling delivery that eventually found Georgian center-back Shalva Burjanadze at the far post. His initial effort was blocked, but the rebound—deflected off Delevic—landed in the net to give the visitors the lead. Trans lined up without league top scorer Pierre Kabore, who was away on international duty with Burkina Faso. However, the team showed they could cope without their talisman, defending resolutely and keeping Paide’s attack at bay for most of the match. The job became easier in the 70th minute when Joseph Saliste received his second yellow card in quick succession and was sent off, leaving Paide down to ten men for the final 20 minutes.
