Estonia centre-back Erko Jonne Tõugjas played a full match as Halmstad recorded a second straight 1-0 victory in competitive action.
Halmstad, who play in Sweden’s top flight, beat second-tier Varberg in the group stage of the Swedish Cup on Sunday. Pascal Gregor scored the only goal in the 25th minute as Halmstad kept another clean sheet.
Tõugjas joined Halmstad at the end of January and has already played two full matches for them, both in the Cup and both with a 1-0 result.
Only the group winners progress to the quarter-finals, so Halmstad’s place in the last eight is not yet secured despite back-to-back wins. Their final group match is against Malmö.
