Toplyga round 13 produced four draws, leaving Džiugas Telšiai as the only side to claim victory across the weekend.

Džiugas returned to their main city stadium for the first time this year and moved back into second place with a 1-0 win over Riteriai. Midfielder Deitonas Vinckus scored the decisive goal, his second match-winner of the campaign and the third of his Toplyga career.

Riteriai were without head coach Gintautas Vaičiūnas, who served a one-match ban after picking up a fourth yellow card, with assistant Seyed Arman Taheri taking charge in the technical area.

Hegelmann and FA Šiauliai played out a second identical 1-1 draw between the sides this season, with both goals arriving before the midway point of the first half. Hegelmann made a single change after Esmilis Kaušinis was forced off injured, while Šiauliai coach Mantas Kuklys used three substitutions.

Šiauliai captain Gustas Baliutavičius returned in goal but was forced off again when his injury flared up, bringing on 19-year-old Paulius Linkevičius. The latter made a late save to preserve the draw and was named man of the match.

Sūduva’s winless run in the league against Žalgiris extended to 12 matches as they were held to a 1-1 draw in Marijampolė. Striker Meinardas Mikulėnas opened his Sūduva account, but Yuri Kendysh levelled after making amends for an earlier mistake.

It was Sūduva’s first home fixture at the main city stadium this season and it attracted 3,042 spectators. After 13 rounds, FK Žalgiris Vilnius lead the league for average home attendance (2,987), followed by FK Kauno Žalgiris (1,794) and Sūduva (1,186).

Banga came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with TransINVEST in Gargždai, with Aaron Appiah converting a penalty in the sixth minute of added time. The result stretched Banga’s unbeaten run to seven matches, while TransINVEST extended their own sequence to five but remain without a Toplyga win away to Banga in three attempts.

Panevėžys also rescued a point late on, drawing 1-1 with FK Kauno Žalgiris. Isaac Asante continued his recent habit of decisive stoppage-time interventions, scoring in added time in each of Panevėžys’ three May fixtures, after earlier late goals helped decide matches against Žalgiris.

The round left FK Kauno Žalgiris with one win from their past five games, while Džiugas’ victory was the only result that allowed any side to close ground on the leaders.
