In a thrilling encounter in Tallinn, Tartu JK Tammeka came out on top in a dramatic 3-2 victory over Nõmme United, securing their first win of the season in a highly entertaining contest.

The match started at a lively pace, with both teams creating early chances. It was United’s Kevin Matas who struck first, capitalising on a quick transition to take the lead in the opening stages. Assist to the goal for the Georgian veteran Zakaria Beglarishvili who in their previous game scored once and assisted three times.

Tammeka responded well and gradually grew into the game. Their persistence paid off when Tristan Koskor equalised from a set-piece situation. Not long after Tristan Koskor added his second of the match and third goal in the last two games with a well-worked attacking move to turn the match around.

United refused to back down and continued to press forward, eventually finding an equaliser via Owusu Dacosta before half-time to make it 2-2 in a fast-paced and open first half, where both sides created multiple scoring opportunities.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with end-to-end action and chances at both ends. While United initially looked the more dangerous side after the break, Tammeka gradually regained control and began to create more consistent pressure.

Their efforts were rewarded just before the hour mark, when a precise attacking move carved open the defence, allowing Tammeka’s Pavel Marin to score what proved to be the winning goal.

United pushed hard in the closing stages, creating pressure through set-pieces and attacking spells, but were unable to find a third goal. Tammeka’s defence held firm under late pressure, while their goalkeeper Richard Aland also played a key role in preserving the lead.

In the end, Tammeka emerged with a deserved victory in one of the most entertaining matches of the round, opening their account for the season.
