Tammeka have confirmed a reshuffle of key off-pitch roles, with former Premium liiga CEO Veiko Soo taking over as the club’s community lead and Monica Rand moving into the first-team set-up as team manager.
Soo said the change was made internally after Rand, who had held the community post for an extended spell, asked for a new challenge at a time when the senior side needed dedicated support. “Because Monica had been community lead longer than average and wanted fresh challenges, and at the same time the first team needed a manager, we reorganised responsibilities within the club,” Soo said.
In his new role, Soo says his focus for 2026 will be on matchday and club events, volunteer recruitment and reconnecting with former players and staff. He pointed to Premium liiga home fixtures at Coop Stadium and Tamme Stadium, the women’s charity initiative Pink Football, and the revived club family day as key meeting points for supporters and families. “To run these events we need more help from volunteers than before,” he added, outlining plans to better recruit, brief, support and recognise those contributing, including around ongoing improvements at Coop Stadium.
Soo, who previously worked at Tammeka between 2010 and 2013 and returned in 2025, also wants to strengthen ties with the club’s alumni network. “Over 37 years, thousands of people have been part of Tammeka as players or coaches, family members or fans, employees or supporters. With some we’ve grown distant. I have ideas about how we could restore old connections,” he said, suggesting the work could take one to two years.
