FK Auda have announced yet another addition to their squad, this time securing the signature of French winger Abdoulaye Coulibaly.

The 23-year-old Frenchman is a product of the St-Étienne academy, one of France’s most storied clubs and ten-time Ligue 1 champions. Coulibaly made two senior appearances for St-Étienne, including one in Ligue 1 in 2020 when he came off the bench against Nantes. However, the majority of his time at the club was spent with the reserves.

After six years at St-Étienne, Coulibaly signed with Clermont Foot in the summer of 2023. Almost immediately, he was loaned out to Swiss third-tier side FC Biel-Bienne, where he spent two seasons. During his time in Switzerland, Coulibaly featured in 68 matches, scoring eight goals and providing 11 assists.

This past season, he played a key role in Biel-Bienne’s fairy-tale run to the Swiss Cup final, a stunning campaign in which they eliminated top-tier sides FC Lugano in the quarter-finals and BSC Young Boys in the semi-finals. The underdogs eventually fell to FC Basel 1–4 in the final, but Coulibaly’s impact was undeniable — he featured in all six cup matches and contributed three assists.

Now a free agent, Coulibaly joins FK Auda looking to take the next step in his career. Abdoulaye also brings international experience to the squad, having represented France at the U17 level on five occasions.
