Motiejus Burba.

**In a move that caught many by surprise, Lithuanian national team coach Edgaras Jankauskas has named 22-year-old winger Motiejus Burba in his squad for the upcoming November fixtures. This marks the first senior national team call-up for the promising youngster.**

Burba’s inclusion follows an impressive run of form with Žalgiris Vilnius, where he has flourished since Rolandas Džiaukštas took over as head coach. Under Džiaukštas, Burba has become a key figure for the 2024 A lyga champions, which caught Jankauskas’ attention.

Having represented Lithuania at various youth international levels, Burba now takes a significant step forward in his career as he joins the senior squad for the first time.

Lithuania is set to face Israel in a friendly match in Kaunas on November 13, before traveling to the Netherlands to conclude their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign on November 17.
