TOPsport A Lyga Matchday 13 concluded with a hard-fought clash in Telšiai, where Marijampolė’s Sūduva stretched their unbeaten streak to six matches, earning a 1–1 draw against FC Džiugas Telšiai.
This match marked the second meeting between the two sides this season. In their first encounter back on March 28, Sūduva claimed a narrow 1–0 victory, thanks to an early goal from Japanese midfielder Kota Sakurai. That result gave the Marijampolė side an early psychological edge heading into the reverse fixture.
The latest showdown in Telšiai started with intensity. Early in the first half, Nauris Petkevičius set up Tom Lucky, whose powerful shot from distance was stopped by Džiugas goalkeeper Marius Paukštė.
However, there was little Paukštė could do in the 33rd minute. A swift counterattack saw Petkevičius break through and unleash a stunning strike into the far corner, to give Sūduva a 1–0 lead.
Džiugas responded with urgency after conceding, creating several opportunities from set pieces. Their best chance of the half came through Vilius Piliukaitis, but his effort was expertly saved by Sūduva keeper Giedrius Zenkevičius.

Following this result, Sūduva remain in 3rd place with 25 points — just two behind joint leaders FK Kauno Žalgiris and FC Hegelmann. Meanwhile, FC Džiugas Telšiai sit in 5th place with 19 points.
